Queridos amigos,

The first thing i would like to mention is my gratitude of all the hard work that has been done so far by the members that have been down here from the start: Neil, Leslie, Jon, Andres, Vanessa, Cristina and Flo(rian). To think it’s only been 6 months since the land purchase. We have come a long way and what an exciting year we have ahead us. The foundation has been laid in all sense of the word and it’s fortified daily with fine tuning. The next thing I want to do is give a warm open arms (digital) welcome to our new community members. We can’t wait to meet you!

I have only been in Costa Rica for a week now, and it has already grown on me. And in a literal sense, things are constantly moving and growing along with us, much like the flora and fauna in this part of the country. I am in constantly reminded of fond memories of my early days visiting my grandparents in the countryside. Despite the proximity of Dominical to the capital, San Jose, the feel is one of rural paradise. Even the high-rises of Jaco can’t taint the unsullied feel of raw nature around us. All at once, we are segregated from the outside world and only minutes away from any comfort or necessity. The higher hills offer a wider perspective, while the valleys offer a private feel that is both mysterious and familiar somehow. Walking the pathways that we have cut ourselves offers a satisfaction that you too will soon feel (if you have yet to). This piece of land, our land, is so much more than 60 acres; the land is lush and will sustain us in our sustenance of the community we have created. It is not just a paradise with streams and wonderland-esque aesthetic, but our paradise.

Costa Rica é realmente viver até os nossos sonhos coletivos e visões. Living a Pura Vida existence is so empowering and awakening leading us to focus more and more on what really matters in our lives. We have had such an exciting few months here in Costa Rica connecting with the local community and starting work on the Pura Tierra land itself. We now have several community members living here full time and others have visited recently making for such wonderful experiences as we begin to build this beautiful community. There have been some brilliant challenges and discussions and already the connections are forming as we co-create our Eco Village together. We are also feeling really integrated into the larger communities in Uvita, Domingo, Vale do Diamante e até San Isidro. Uma grande família

We get asked fairly often about why Costa Rica, O que é é que nós amamos sobre viver aqui? Então, nós gostaríamos de ter um momento e compartilhar alguns de nossos momentos favoritos dos últimos meses apenas para enfatizar o que é que leva a nossa paixão pela vida e nos traz alegria tão pura:

-A cerimônia do fogo mágico na praia, olhando para cima e vendo as estrelas suspensas lua e atirando no céu noturno não poluído clara

- Cacao cermony to celebrate the Solstice at our wonderful friends farm.

- Yoga com vista para a selva, mar e as montanhas

- Finding a spectacular new ice cold swimming hole surrounded by beautiful jungle and small cascades at Pura Tierra and bobbing around with a few community members after a hard days work

- Having our first community meetings with the community members here in Costa Rica, fazendo clareiras e compartilhar nossas paixões e visões

- Espirrando nas ondas brilhantes à meia-noite iluminada pela fosforescência azul bonito

- Seeing new community members faces as they see the land for the first time!!

- Saltar de cachoeiras nas águas cristalinas abaixo

- Catching Talapia and cooking it for dinner at the beautiful waterfall farm between Uvita and Palmar Sur

- Ver golfinhos saltar e brincar nas ondas em um passeio de barco

- Assistindo Jon com um sorriso enorme, andar do lado da escavadora em movimento com facão na mão de remover a escova pendendo quando passamos

- Seeing our new road reach up into the land and being able to drive to the community area for the first time!

- Assentamento dos tubos para a nossa nova ponte e sentir a alegria da conclusão pontes após um pouco de sangue quebra-costas, suor e lágrimas.

- Viagem para a incrível biodiversidade as Península de Osa (e quebrar algumas vezes ao longo do caminho) e ver a bela selva & praias, Araras e Scarlet na trança apenas acima de nossas cabeças

- Frade nas belas cascatas da cachoeira Baru

- Reunião e amigos tornando-se com a comunidade local e sair toda quinta-feira no mercado local dos fazendeiros em San Isidro, com nossa nova comunidade

- Nosso hilariante 5 run transfronteiriça minutos para o Panamá para renovar nossa Visa (Você tem que fazer isso para entender como é cômico )

- Explorando as muitas estradas e trilhas, 4x4ing in the mountains surrounding Pura Tierra

- Vendo as sementes brotam de nossas primeiras árvores frutíferas poucos (Laranja, Manga, Toranja, Abacate, Coco, Cal & Bananeiras)

- Descobrir a nossa árvore de limão primeira na Costa Rica e na colheita das sementes!

- Tomando uma enterrada na cachoeira Domnicalito e piscina depois de um dia longo e duro na praia (Um dos nossos dias de folga!:)), ou deslizando no escorregador natural de água na cachoeira Uvita

- Descobrir todos os maravilhosos frutos exóticos e tropicais (e amostragem-los no mercado) e decidir sobre as sementes para começar a brotar!

- Explorar tudo 59 hectares de Pura Tierra e áreas descobrindo nunca soubemos fora antes

- Vendo novos animais e insetos que nunca soube que existia e ver a alegria das crianças enfrenta à medida que descobrimos algo novo

- Aprender a surfar!

- Aprender a criar uma sauna natural de sacos de areia e cimento Ferro

- Começando a entender quando alguém nos fala muito rápido Espanhol

- Spending special moments with our children, learning and growing together as a family and seeing that spark in their eyes and zest for life

- Learning that your blisters really can get blisters after spending days swinging your machete to create trails through the giant ferns on the land.

This is just a snapshot of some of our favourite moments and of course the journey has only just begun but there are already so many magical memories with such beautiful people. Such incredible times and so much love, healing and growth together at Pura Tierra. Verdadeiro Pura Vida!

Estamos aqui! Realmente sentimos como se estivéssemos vivendo o sonho aqui em Dominical, Costa Rica!!! And what an incredible journey to get to this point and so much to be grateful for! Each morning waking up to sunshine & monkeys each morning, spending the days working the land as a family, relaxing at the many beautiful beaches then coming home to our little slice of Pura Vida and of course – our hammock!

Tivemos algumas pessoas realmente incríveis contactar-nos recentemente com grandes habilidades, dreams and aspirations that are completely aligned to the Pura Tierra Vision… The one challenge for these talented individuals, couples and families however has been coming up with the finances to make these amazing dreams a reality.

Since this is a group purchase program where we all pool our money together to purchase and build this wonderful community, the $$s are of course needed. However the Pura Tierra Community Members do want to open our Eco Village up to those that perhaps cannot afford an acre or require some time to pay and so we have decided to sell 4 half-acre plots and create some options to pay over a longer period.

We feel like we are constantly saying this right now – we are feeling amazingly blessed and inspired!! We are geting so close to finalizing the 20 Community Members for Pura Tierra! We now have a Web Designer, Yoga Instructors, Raw Food Chefs, Naturopaths, Natural Builders, Earth Ship Builders, Engineers, Artists, Project Managers, Facilitators, Organic Farmers, Natural Birth Expert, Sound Therapist, Permaculturists , Shaman Inspired Healer, Tai Chi Instructor and so many more talents as part of Pura Tierra. Not to forget the beautiful children who bring so much to this wonderful community! ? What a talented group and – so much we WILL achieve together.

Fomos trancados em discussões com nossos amigos da terra de Imóveis em Costa Rica. One of the key messages being communicated loud and clear is that there are water shortages in the Northern areas of Costa Rica. As we all know, água potável é o mais básico, paramount necessity for an Eco Village that will be supporting 20 families.
Nós, naturalmente, queremos garantir que fazemos tudo o que pudermos para captação de água em sistemas de captação e reduzir o desperdício de água (compostagem ninguém banheiros? ) but it is also essential that we have a reliable consistent natural water source year round. All properties we are looking at have natural springs or rivers but we are finding that properties slightly further south offer higher quality, maiores e fontes de água fresca (e estas geralmente vêm com furos piscinas naturais (alguns até com cachoeiras!!!) para se refrescar durante o calor do verão!).

Com base nesta temos agora 2 areas we are focusing our land search on. Entre Manuel Antonio e Uvita; and the Nicoya Peninsula. Based on our research and feedback from our contacts in Costa Rica it would now seem that the Nicoya Peninsula may be unsustainable for an eco village of the size we are planning, e dentro do nosso orçamento, menos que a propriedade tem uma fonte de água significativa. The land at each of the locations we are looking at satisfies the following criteria:

Close to the beautiful beaches of the pacific coast.
Um ótimo layout com espaço para uma plataforma de yoga, piscina, uma cozinha compartilhada & área social, Cabines de aluguer, and shared bathroom facilitiess.
Espaço e terra em que a cultivar, mais árvores frutíferas e jardins para a comunidade.
Scenic Views of jungle covered mountains and/or the beautiful Pacific Ocean.
Close proximity to a central hub for supplies while still being far enough away from civilization.
Established rainforest/trees/jungle and the wildlife that comes with it.
Distância razoável para aeroportos mais próximos / Concentradores de turismo para facilitar a retiros and to help with supplementing income.
Space for expansion if at some point we decide that we want the community to grow slightly and to conserve land around us to maintain wildlife corridors and protect the land from future development and logging, etc

Wow…O que uma semana incrível poucos!! Este processo até agora foi tão comovente e esclarecedor – we have such a beautiful group of diverse people from around the world coming together to make this wonderful community. After years of hard work, time and dedication we can finally see the community taking shape – the vision becoming a reality. We are so excited and so fortunate to be able to share our lives with such amazing people in a community created by such big, open hearts.

Também recebemos uma notícia muito emocionante … We have been contacted by a new magazine about doing an article on Pura Tierra! Realmente incrível. É uma bênção saber que o nosso projeto vai alcançar o coração das pessoas antes mesmo de começar a chegar em nossas mãos prédio sujo. Estamos planejando entrar em contato com os meios de comunicação, que se alinham com a nossa visão, para ajudar a espalhar o nosso progresso, mas é realmente muito emocionante que eles estão vindo para nós! We are also excited to announce that one of our founding community members is a talented filmmaker who is producing a beautiful in-depth documentary on the creation and evolution of Pura Tierra.

For the landowners this is great as having a huge audience to open up to visitors and retreats will help to ensure we have the funds to sustain our lives in our new homes. We will have the hands to help with work and to share in this process and the visitors who will bring back their experience to their communities to help vibrate this way of living throughout the world.

Investimento
As things have started to heat up and we have more and more people interested we do not want those that really really want to be part of this community to miss out. In consultation with those already signed up to be part of Pura Tierra we have decided to make a slight change within the cost structure. Os membros iniciais comprometidos decidiram acrescentar algumas camadas da estrutura de custos para dar um incentivo aqueles que se inscrever no início do processo (e para compensar o tempo e esforço dos membros iniciais terá que colocar para esta comunidade para obtê-lo criado). It is imperative that we buy the land quickly due to the fact that we are seeing recent price increases in Costa Rican Real estate plus many of the committed members want to see the purchase of the land happen by the end of the year. Estamos todos super animado começar a construir nossa nova comunidade e casas! Please keep in mind that by purchasing the land, isso não significa que você precisa fazer “a grande jogada” imediatamente. In fact a few people have already indicated they will not join the community immediately but will visit and contribute when they can.

In order for this group land purchase to work its essential that we have people on board and depositing their funds as soon as possible. Due to the demand we are receiving it is highly likely there will not be any available individual acreages available once the land for Pura Tierra is acquired.

A estrutura de preços que se segue é agora em vigor, salvo arranjos alternativos foram acordados para a compra de 1 acre of titled land at Pura Tierra:

$19,500 – Pagar depósito e começar seus pagamentos antes de Julho 1, 2012 e receber uma $500 incentivo … This applies to all those who have already given their deposits.
$20,000 – Pagar depósito e começar seus pagamentos antes de agosto 1, 2012.
$22,000 – Pagar depósito e começar seus pagamentos antes de setembro 1, 2012 (só se a terra não é comprado por esta altura).
$26,000 – Pagar depósito e começar seus pagamentos após setembro 1, 2012 (só se a terra não é comprado por esta altura).
$30,000 – Depois que a terra foi comprada por membros da comunidade iniciais (somente se houver alguma hectares deixaram de vender).

Mais uma vez queremos reiterar que é verdadeiramente importante que tenhamos as pessoas certas e não apenas o dinheiro para comprar a terra. Nós transformamos algumas pessoas que não foram longe o direito “caber” for Pura Tierra. If your individual circumstances do not allow you to meet the above schedule then please please talk to us.
